535m MUSIC AND ART WITH ALTITUDE:  23/24/25th March 2012

The weekend of March 23rd, 24th and 25th will see the town of Strathbogie transformed into a cultural hub of music, art, workshops, theatre and dance.
Starting off on Friday afternoon, share in the creation of a labyrinth from 3pm. Bring flowers and other natural materials to contribute. A labyrinth, unlike a maze, has only one path and like life has many twists and turns. You enter the labyrinth where you exit it. Walk the labyrinth with your question in mind and find clarification.
Head next door to Tom's garage for the art exhibition opening at 6pm. The works displayed are a rich diversity of work in various media from children, adults, both professional and amateur from the tableland and beyond bringing an eclectic vitality to this historic space.
Contact Lisa to enter your work: 0488173143 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Enjoy the local wine and other gastronomic delights kindly donated by our generous and talented community. To top off the celebration, experience a taste of the extraordinary "Mistress of Groove" singer performer JoJo Smith together with Tony Buchanan, "The Godfather of Sax", a dynamic musical duo not to be missed.
Saturday kicks off at 9am with Yoga in the Strathbogie Hall to prepare us for the offerings of the day. Put your energy to good use by joining Pam Marshalls Belly dancing workshop, also in the hall from 10am.
Also from 10am the art exhibition will reopen. Textile and fibre workshops start from 11am with crochet and felting at 1pm. Stay tuned for additions.
At 2pm Robyn Betts performs some of her mother's most humorous poetry and prose entitled "Nanna doesn't like emus".
Replenish your energy for the evening's highlight at the chai tent at Tom's garage where you will experience the talents of local and visiting musicians. Bring your own instruments and be part of the music making. For more info email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone 0428563419

This community website provides the perfect forum for communicating with each other to do some car pooling/providing transport for people who can't drive, or would like to share a ride.  Use the message board to let people know if you have a spare seat available and you're heading off the Tableland to Euroa/Shepparton/Melbourne....................anywhere and you're willing to have a passenger or two. We can all benefit from doing this and you might just meet someone you might not otherwise have met. Give it a go!!!!
